Chiropractic is built on the understanding that the body has an amazing ability to heal, repair and regulate.

By restoring and maintaining optimal spinal movement, chiropractic care helps your body stay in the state where it can adapt to the daily stresses of life, allowing you to function at your best.

Our Process

Initial Consultation

  • Before your first visit, you will receive an email with a link to complete your new patient paperwork. If you are unable to fill it out online, let us know, and you can arrive 10 minutes early to complete a paper version.
This appointment focuses on gathering important information to build a comprehensive understanding of your health.
  • We will take the time to ask you about your concerns, current & past health, family history, your day-to-day activities and your goals.
  • A thorough exam will then be performed so that we can get a better idea of what’s going on with your body and if we are the right fit to help you. The examination includes postural assessment, neurological and orthopedic tests.
  • In some cases, the examination findings indicate the need to take a closer look at what’s going on inside your body. In these instances, you will be referred externally for further imaging (usually x-rays).
  • An adjustment is often provided on this first visit but ultimately will depend on your presentation, history and examination findings. If clinically indicated, external imaging may need to be done prior to your first adjustment.

Report of Findings

  • During your second appointment, we will explain the results of your examination and postural analysis, review any x-rays (if applicable), and discuss the details of your case.
  • Based on your findings and goals, our chiropractors will provide personalised care recommendations.
  • We offer care plans tailored to your goals—whether that’s pain relief, prevention, or optimal wellness. The choice is always yours, and your goals are our priority.

Adjustment Visits

These appointments are shorter in duration as we’ve already had the chance to get a good understanding of your body and what it needs. Each adjustment aims to remove tension and restore optimal spinal movement to allow your body to function as well as it knows how. Adjustments build on each other over time to keep your body in a healing state so that it’s able to adapt to life’s stressors.

Progress Exams

This is a longer appointment to check in to see how your body is changing under care. The tests we did at your initial appointment are repeated here so that we can see the progress your body has made. This is also the perfect opportunity to reflect on your goals, see where you’re at and decide where you want to go from here.

A tool for life.

FAQs

What are chiropractic ‘adjustments’?

Chiropractic adjustments are manual manipulations of the spine or other joints in the body. The goal of these adjustments is to improve spinal alignment, mobility, and function. By applying controlled force to specific areas, chiropractic adjustments aim to reduce pain, alleviate muscle tension, and improve overall movement. These adjustments may or may not be accompanied by a ‘popping’ sound which is simply gas leaving a joint. Adjustments are typically done with chiropractors hands, but sometimes they may use specialised tools like an activator or pelvic blocks.

Do I have to keep coming back?

How long you choose to benefit from chiropractic care is up to you. We work closely with each person to create a personalised care plan aimed at achieving your body goals as efficiently as possible. The speed at which you see results often depends on the state of your body, lifestyle stressors and how well you follow recommended advice.

We offer care plans that suit people wanting to get out of pain, for people that want to prevent future spinal degradation and even for athletes/performance individuals looking to optimise their performance week to week.

We’ve found that any type of body transformation, whether it’s weight loss, fitness, or spinal health, requires both time and consistency. Adjusting your spine is no different.

We find that people will often choose to come in regularly when they experience how being well-aligned impacts their daily life.

Can I go to the chiropractor if I'm pregnant?

Yes, we see many pregnant women. Due to the hormonal and physical changes that result in increased pressures in the spine, it is very common for aches and pains to develop. We use a variety of techniques tailored specifically to pregnant women, ensuring your comfort and mobility throughout each trimester. Chiropractic adjustments do not directly manipulate or move the baby. The goal is to help the mother’s pelvis and spine move more freely, which can encourage the baby to position itself optimally.

Can I use my private health?

Yes. Our practice has Hicaps, meaning you can swipe or tap your health fund card at time of payment for an instant rebate (depending on your level of healthcare cover and services provided under your policy).

Can the chiropractor see my children, including babies?

Yes. We use gentle, age-appropriate techniques tailored to their size and needs. Parents often seek chiropractic care for issues with their child’s latching, head shape / positioning and posture just to name a few. Chiropractic care can support growing spines to promote healthy growth and development. Please make sure you book an Initial Pediatric Consultation for your little one so that we have extra time to make sure they are comfortable throughout the appointment.

Does getting adjusted hurt?

Getting adjusted does not usually hurt, most of our patients often report feeling great after an adjustment. Some discomfort may be present, particularly when releasing or mobilising chronically inflamed joints. However the discomfort is temporary and often feels better by the end of the adjustment.

In rare cases, some mild soreness can occur after your first or second adjustment  but typically does not last longer than 24-48 hours.
